There are many volunteer opportunities available with the Ferndale Heritage Society. Volunteering is a rewarding way give back to your community and to support the cabins & artifacts. Contact the Society or join us at a membership meeting to learn more.
Volunteer Opportunities
Please contact the Ferndale Heritage Society if you are interested in volunteering, or join us at General Membership meetings that are held the last Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Tillicum House at Pioneer Park. All ages are welcome!
Here are a few of the areas where volunteers are needed:
Olde Fashioned Christmas and Lighted Stroll in December.
Grade School Education Sessions in the spring.
Cabin Guides during Old Settlers Pioneer Park Picnic in July.
Acquisition Committee, Advertising / Promotional, Computer Support
Audit Finance, Building Improvements, Cataloging, Education Program
Fashion Shows/Costuming, Cabin Hosting, Gardening/Plant Sale
Grant Committee, Historian/Educational Tours, Hospitality, Library Mgmt.
As required by the City of Ferndale for liability reasons, volunteers may be subject to a confidential background check by the Washington State Patrol WATCH program.
