The purpose of the Ferndale Heritage Society is to educate the community on the history of Whatcom County, promote Pioneer Park and tourism in Ferndale, WA, and bring together those people interested in preserving history and maintaining the log cabins and collections at Pioneer Park.

Directions:

From I-5 take exit 262, go west 1 mile, cross the Nooksack River and turn south on First Street, then go two blocks to beautiful Pioneer Park.

Hours:

The park’s historic cedar log cabins are open to the public for guided tours each year from May 15 through September 15, 11 am to 4 pm (closed Mondays & Special City events).

Special hours apply for Old Settlers Weekend in July and Olde Fashioned Christmas in December. Please see the Events & News section of this website for updates.

    Facility Rentals

    The Tillicum House and the Log Cabin Church located in Pioneer Park are available to the public with reasonable rental fees for private events.

    Tours

    The Ferndale Heritage Society operates its School Tours Education Program for local school groups each spring. In addition to the walk-up daily tours that are available, Ferndale Heritage Society accommodates special large group tours that have been previously scheduled in advance of the tour date.
